The Lake Anterselva

At the end of the Valley of Anterselva, completely hidden, lies one of the most beautiful of alpine lakes. Amid dark green woods, beneath the peaks of the Rieserferner, slumbers the Lake Anterselva, the third largest mountain lake of the South Tyrol.

In 2003, the nature trail around the Lake Anterselva was opened. At various stages, features such as the most significant rocks of the area, the most common types of tree, the surrounding peaks and much more besides are explained in an engaging manner.

The hike along the nature trail lasts approximately one and a half hours and is suitable for all ages.

The purpose of this nature trail is, in a graphic and entertaining fashion, to make the natural environment around the Lake Anterselva a little more accessible to visitors and to create respect. In this way, everyone can take something home with them and perhaps also pass something on.
